Chevrolet Spark: More Than a Fad

Chevrolet Spark is proving it is not just a fad. Since the Spark was first available for sale in 2009, it has hit one million cars sold internationally. Yes, you heard me right. One Million sold internationally. I bet they didn’t sell that many pet rocks.

lake1Alan Batey, executive vice president of Global Chevrolet, said in a release that “Our small cars–Spark, Sonic and Cruze–attract more new car buyers to Chevrolet than any other vehicles in the lineup, with more than 60 percent of buyers never owning a Chevy before.” It offers an available built in 4G LTE WI-Fi hotspot that allows a connection for up to seven devices, Siri Eyes Free for iPhone customers and an available 7 inch touchscreen My Link infotainment system. These features might have a little to do with the appeal to young car buyers.

Then the Spark went out and earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. That is unheard of in the mini car segment. How many times have you been driving down the road and seen one of the cars in that segment and said to yourself, “I would not ever get in one of those. One wreck and you are done?” Well now you have proof that is just not the case. This is in part because of its lightweight construction that utilizes high-strength steel in its body and B-Pillars.

lake2Why keep putting it off.  One million people can’t be wrong.  Come check it out today at Lake Country Chevrolet Cadillac 144 W Shawnee St Muskogee, OK or give us a call at 918-683-0311 today!
